Stone UC Foodgrains Project: Our Church members who farm for a living know what is needed to grow a successful crop – the right equipment, quality seeds, the latest growing techniques and of course timely rain and heat during the growing season. In many countries, farmers don’t have access to quality seeds, fertilizer or equipment. Tilling, planting, weeding, and harvesting must be all performed manually. Often their crops are wiped out either by drought or floods.
The Canadian Foodgrains Bank, in addition to providing direct food support, delivers training to farmers in conservation growing practices and better-quality seeds that result in more successful harvests. You can support the Stone Foodgrains Growing Project through donating by sending an e-Transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org sending a cheque to Bill Allen. Any Questions regarding the project? Contact Bill or Tom and Barb Parker.

From The Re-opening Commission
The Re-opening Commission has been given the responsibility by the Pastoral Charge Board to research what needs to be done before our churches can safely re-open, to put together a plan for re-opening, to communicate the plan to the congregations, and to put the plan in place. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please contact a member of the Commission – Bill Allen, Ross Bentley, Barb Eley, Liz Guthrie, Marcia Haworth, Brian Mack, Kay Mathies, Sherol Steinberg,Steve Thomson, Jack Ward, and Heather Leffler.
On-line -- In order to care for our congregations, worship, gatherings and meetings for Rockwood and Stone will continue to be held virtually or out of doors if there is enough space to social distance. We will continue to follow these protocols during stage 3, until we are confident that people will be safe gathering indoors.
Outdoors -- If needed groups of up to 10 can meet in person outside following public health guidelines, including self-assessment, social distancing and wearing masks if needed. No food will be served. If people bring individual snacks, they need to take their garbage home to care for the host and participants.
Pastoral Care – Heather is happy to connect with you by phone or Zoom or will arrange to meet with you outside.
Rockwood and Stone – If you need to enter either church please follow the posted instructions and sign-in so contact tracing can take place if needed.
Rentals – No new rentals will be booked in either church until further notice. Protocols have been set up for existing renters to follow at Rockwood. AA will be meeting. Sherol Steinberg firstname.lastname@example.org will co-ordinate with renters. If you need to enter Rockwood, please contact her first.
